MOSGIEL INDUSTRIAL COOPERATIVE SOCIETY.

Mr D. Connor presided over the halfyearly meeting of members of the Mosgiel Industrial Co-operative Society. I here a large attendance. The nineteenth half-yearly report and balance sheet were read and adopted. The showed a net surplus of fd/O 11s lid. which the committee recommended appropriation of in the following way;—To 7i per cent, interest on , capital reserve account. £B9 14s 9d; discount on purchases account, £155 17s 6d: contingency reserve, £124 19s Bd. _> Tlje Vacancies on the committee were filled by the election of Messrs G. M'Leod A. Davidson, and D. Connor. Mr Little was re-elected auditor. It was notified that members would receive a rebate of 6d in tie £ on all purchases paid for during the past six months. This could be taken out in goods, or could be added to the share capital. The customary vote of thanks to the ofhee-bearers, to the manager, and to tire stan wore passed.
