“BOTTICELLI WAVE.”
Woman’s impatience has stimulated leading London hairdressers to invent new coitmres in keeping with the “lond-short ” hair fashion now prevailing. One has been inspired by the art of the old masters at the Italian Exhibition It is called the Botticelli Wave.” M. Gaston Boudon said recently: Women are wearing their hair longer which allows of individual treatment. But’ because short hair is so much in harmony with modern women and also because many of them have not the patience to vait for their hair to grow very lone, we have the vogue of the long-bob & Daytime fashions are not very important, for the modern hat hides a multitude ot shortcomings. But the woman who is grow ing her hair wants some- personality imparted to it for .the evening, and the new Botticelli Wave has solved the problem for some of them. In front the hair is combed straight back or parted in the middle with curly waves hanging down at the side of the head, while the back is hidden by a turban of gauze. The result !s a pleasing contrast of lines When the hair has grown a little at the back it can be curled up a la duck tail and manipulated in a variety of ways
