WORKS IN OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND. The monthly meeting of the Main Highways Board took place at Wellington on February 20 and 27, Mr A. E. Jull (Waipawa) presiding. A short time ago tenders were called tor constructing a concrete 4 pavement on Lincoln road, adjoining the Christchurch City, lenders for this work were before the board, and steps are now being taken to accept the most favourable tender. Wrey’s Bush-Moseburn (Formation and Gravelling). —This work is in progress. Te Anau-Manapouri.—Contract for reforming and gravelling six'miles; This work has been started. Anarima River Bridge.—Pile driving; 12 concrete piles have been made and six driven during the month. Cylinder sinking; The stoking of the up-stream cylinder in pier “L ” is in progress.
