WOMEN FOR THE BAR.

(From Oor Own Correspondent.) LONDON, January 16. There are women at Home as well as in India to whom the Bar appeals as a profession. In the recent Hilary term examinations there were 32 passes in various subjects by 28 w-omen students, several of whom succeeded in more than one subject. Seven names are in the final list. Three successful women, including one in the final list, are married. Following are the names:— Roman Law.—Class II: Audrey Phvllis Noboutt, Mir Jehan Mohamed. Class III: Winifred- Hazel Watson, Mary Edith Barbara Whittingham-Jones. Constitutional Law and Legal History. —Class I: Bhico Batlivala. Class ll; Hannah Margaret Cross. Class HI; Joan Baker Alexander, Jessie Marguerite Bowie, Phyllis Laura Jelleyman, Maw Gladys Keating. Noel Anna Brennan Stevens, Mary Ruth Tabor, Elfreda Margaret Willis.

Criminal Law.—Class II: Alary Gladys Keating. Class III: Joan Baker Alexander, Vida Mary Sturge Crichton, Irena Grace Ruth Davies, Alary Edith‘Barbara u Inttingham-Joues.
