At the age of 91 years Mr Thomas George Marlow died in Auckland last week. He was horn in London and came to New Zealand in 1805, after having been in Melbourne for 12 months. He landed at Dunedin, and was first employed by the drapery firm of Henry Haynes. Later he joined the firm of Ross and Glendining. His next position was that of traveller for Bing, Harris P 1 C°-> fr ° ln Bluff to Auckland. In 1881 Mr .Marlow went to Auckland to join the firm of Archibald Clark and k,ons. Ltd, Comparatively late in life ho took up fanning, and for ten years with ins sons worked an area of 1000 acres at Katikati. After that Mr Marlow was for 20 years on the clerical staff w • G °| d Miuin S Company at Waikmo. He retired only nine years ago, when well past 80 years. Mr Marlow is survived by six sons and two daughters. I here are also eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren
