Cr Clark, representing the City Coun- * u *k o council was'opposed to the idea as a matter of principle, and would not agree to any proposal which involved. the payment of any contribution by the city. The Mayors of St. Hilda and Green Island supported Cr Clark in this view, while the remainder of the delegates intimated that they were in attendance merely to hear what was said and report to their respective bodies later on. The chairman then moved the following resolution That the allocations as submitted be for one year only, and that all delegates present should submit them to whatever body they represented, and that each body should communicate its decision to the Domain Board. Mr Stevenson then called for a show of hands,, and it was found that the resolution was carried by one vote.
