ATTEMPT TO RUSH CITY HALL. DISPERSED BY THE POLICE. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, February 22, ; (Received Feb. 23, at 5.5 p.m.) A report from Chicago states that, spurred by speeches at a mass meeting in a small hall, several htindred men and women “ Rods ” attempted to rush the City Hall, demanding “ work and wages.” The demonstration was soon suppressed by 220 police, who made 30 arrests. There were several broken heads and a great volume of profanity.
