SENSATION IN GERMANY
MILLIONAIRE ASSASSINATED. ' SOCIETY DRAMA SUGGESTED. (United Press Association.) " (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) BERLIN, FeFbruary 20. (Received Feb. 21, at 9 p.m.) ' A sensation has been caused throughout Germany by the assassination of Dr Kramer, a millionaire mine owner, in the garden of his own house following a similar attempt two and a-half years ago. As before, the assassin : escaped under cover of darkness, and even bloodhounds, which were immediately in action, were unable' to pick up the scent. * Kramer was walking in his garden, awaiting some dinner guests, and was seeking, a parking place for one ‘of his friend’s cars. When the headlights allowed him to he silhouetted, immediately a shot from behind rang out, and Dr Kramer collapsed. He was just able to whisper a message to his wife before he died. The police have not yet determined whether the assassin was a dismissed employee or a political antagonist, as Dr -Kramer was an eminent member of the German People’s Partv, hut the i previous attempt suggests that a sensational society drama may be revealed.
