TREATY WITH AUSTRALIA. VALUE TO BRITISH COLUMBIA. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) VANCOUVER, February 13. Mr H. R, M'Millan, a local lumber magnate, addressing the Trade Board, declared that the Australian treaty was of great value to British Columbia, despite criticism in some quarters. For every million spent with Australia six millions returned. Irritation was felt in Australia over the application of the Dumping Act on butter sent to Canada. It constituted a tangle in v’lich New Zealand was favoured. There was little justice in that. The Government should be urged to ensure that the treaty would not be jeopardised or abrogated.
