RELIGION IN RUSSIA.
TO THE EDITOB. Sie,—-Mr P. Neilsbn writes: “I hope all those who are inclined to believe everything that appears in the cables relating to the Soviet’s action in Russia in relation to religion will read the cable in your issue to-day . . . repudiating the incredible tales of religious martyrdom.” Well, I have read the cable in question, and in turn I ask Mr Neilson if he has read the remarks of the Primate of AH England on the same subject or of the Archbishop of York in the same conSection? Personally I prefer to believe the Primate rather than any "high official of the Soviet Government," and I venture to think that all normal human beings will also do so. It is not so long since the rkid on Arcos in London disclosed how much reliance was to be placed on any statement emanating from Mr Neilson’s dear friends in Russia. No doubt he hat conveniently forgotten all about this cdebra ted act and is quite ready to believe anything to the credit of those who have so long done their best to injure our Homeland. What I cannot understand is why he remains in this benighted land when tlm paradise of socialism awaits him in Ms beloved Russia.—l am, etc., Vemtt.
