BOXING.

MORGAN v. TROWERN. AN UNSATISFACTORY ENDING. (Per United Press Association,) GISBORNE, February 14. The professional match between Ted Morgan (10.0 J) and Reg Trowern (10.3) had a most unsatisfactory ending. Jue T at the close of the ninth round Trowern claimed that he had been fouled as the Result of a collision with Morgan’s elbow The association’s doctors ordered Trowern out of the ring for examination, returning later and informing the referee that Trowern was fit to fifeht. Trowern subsequently re-entered the ring, having been absent three or four minutes. When the referee gave his. instruction to proceed, Morgan claimed the fight on the ground that Trowern had not been fouled. The referee then declared Trowern the winner amidst uproar.
