LONDON, February 13. (Received Feb. 14, at 9 p.m.) If is understood that Britain will shortly send another trrde mission to South America as the result of Lord D’Abemon’s success. The report of his mission, which contains 40 pages and Is being published at the end of the month, reveals a great opening for British trade in South America.

(Received Feb. 14, at 5.5 p.m.) The Grand Council of the Federation of British Industries yesterday: nominated Colonel Sir James Llthgow as presidentelect iff succession to the retiring president (Mr Lennox Lee). Sir James Lithgow is head of the largest shipbuilding firm in the world. . He was president of the Shipbuilding Employers' Federation in 1921, and later became president of the National Confederation of Em-' ployers’ Organisation. He was the dele-, gate of the British employers to the International Labour Conference at Geneva,.
