BURNS ANNIVERSARY.

Burns anniversary is again to be celebrated this year by a grand concert in His Majesty’s Theatre on Saturday evening. The world over, this anniversary will be honoured wherever Scotsmen gather, hut by none so fervently as those who find themselves away from their " ain native heather.” This year’s entertainment will be. an outstanding one. A short address will be given by Mr Peter Eraser, M.P., of Wellington,, and items will be contributed by Mr Arthur Macdonald. of Christchurch. Mr R. Duerdon, Miss Mary Pratt, Miss Mae Matheson, Mr S. Taylor, the Idlers’ Quartet Party Miss Anita Winkel, and Mr A. Gorrie (elocutionists) , Miss Ethel Wallace (violinist), the Burns Choir, the Pipe Band, and a reel party.
