MISHAP TO TRAIN
MAN SLIGHTLY- INJURED (Special to Daily Times.) . AUCKLAND, January 6. len carnages and a van became un,from the second express, which left Wellington at 7.40 last evening, as the train was about to enter the Parnell tunnel. The tram was brought to a standEtui immediately, owing to the automatic application or the Westinghouse braking system throughout both sections. The mishap was reported to Auckland, and, after both the sections had been brought back to the station, and two fresh carnages coupled, the train left again at 9.55. While running along a scoria banking, skirting the railway line in an endeavour to get those passengers who had left the carriages to examine the break to return to their seats in the sleeping car, an attendant, T. H. Blake, fell heavily on to the culvert bridge, and suffered slight injuries to his foot and back. He was brought back to the city on the train, and removed to hospital.
