(Received Jan. 5, at 11.30 p.m.) • Replying to King George's new year's gceetiug, President Hoover sent the fol lowing reply:—" I am happy to receive your Majesty's message and new year's wishes. A resolve to advance world peace by mutual goodwill and by the limitation of naval armaments is the earnest purpose of American-British people nnd their Government, and it is my hope, as it will be the endeavour of the American Government to seu this great object attained during the year which has just commenced. I also desire to • reciprocate your Majesty's good wishes." #
