AUCKLAND TOURING TEAM v. OTAGO.

A very interesting match should be witnessed at Carisbrook pn Christmas Day and Boxing Day between Mr E. C. Beale’s Auckland touring team and an Otago team. The Auckland team is composed chiefly of colts. Mr E. C. Beale is a cricket enthusiast, who for some years now ban assembled a team of the most promising young players, and has arranged tours to different parts of the Dominion, bis. idea being to give these players experience in bigger cricket with a view to their qualifying for places in the Auckland representative team. The Otago 1 team is mostly composed of young players who have been showing promise The match will be commenced at Carisbrook at 2 p.ni. on Christmas Day and at 10 a.m. on Boxing Day. The visitors will stay at the Provincial Hotel while they are in Dunedin.
