BREAK-UP CONCERT.

A highly successful school break-up concert was held last night in the Oddallows Hall under the auspices of the Baldutha Primary School Committee. The hall was well filled, and a lengthv Fu °“r 1101 largely contributed to by the children, was carried through without a hitch. Mr J. L. Gormack (chairman of committee) presided and made special mention of the manner in which the school had progressed under the headmastership of Mr J. p. Hawke. The speaker a!so paid a warm tribute to the staff. Those who took part in the presentation of prizes and incidentally made speeches suitable to the occasion, were Captain Stone (of the Salvation ArmW. Rev H. C. Orchard, Rev. Roy Alley, Mn Malcolm, M.L.C., and Mr S. V. White, Ma.ior and the chairman, who presented £ lcdal the dux of the school (Ethel Pearson). A feature of the childrens performance was the playlets Persephone and " Paula’s Panic ”
