MODEL T FORD CARS.

TO THE EDITOB. Sib,—The letter in your issue of the 16th inst. by "Spare Parte," reviewing the position of thousands of Model T owners, in having the price o£ Ford spare parts viciously increased, does not go far enough. "Spare Parts" states that the increase is from 20 to 30 per cent. Allow me to quote one or two prices from the new list and compare them with the prices in operation up to the end of last month. The price of universal joint was 10s 4d and now is £1; that of cylinder head gasket was Is 6d and now is 2s 3d; that of brake drum was 16s 8d and now is £1 8s 6d; that of front hub was 6s 6d and now is 10s In some instances Model T owners will notice the increase is almost 100 per cent. I can only think, as " Spare Parts" does, that the increase must be engineered in New Zealand, and, if such is the case, then I, as another Ford car owner, express my strong disapproval of the policy of Ford management in New Zealand. I understood also, when the Model A came on the market, that all parts for Model T would be procurable for at least 10 years. This matter cannot rest where it is, and if it should be persisted in with no statement from the Ford agents, then I also am finished with lord products.—l am, etc., _. .. _ , Reaction. JJunedin, December 18.
