THE SHARE MARKET.

DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. Banking shares had numerous inquiries on . the Stock Exchange yesterday. A parcel of Bank of New Zealand changed hands at 58s 9d. At the, afternoon call there was a buyer at 58s 6d, but sellers wanted 6d more. Commercial Banks had buyers at 25a 6d and sellers at 265, There was_ a sale of this script at 25a Od. National Bank of New Zealand shares showed a wide margin in the quotations, buyers offering £6 10s, and sellers holding out for £0 16s. Bank of Australasia were sought at £l2 10s, but here again, there was a wide margin, as sellers wanted £l3 ss. South British Insurances were on offer at 63s 9d, but buyers would not bid higher than 60s. Goldsbrough, Mort (rights) had buyers at 5s and sellers at 5s 6d. A sale was reported at 5s 3d. The ordinary issue of Huddart, Parkers had inquiries at 41s 6d, but sellers wanted _42s 3d. In the mining section Waihis were offered at 13e Bd, but buyers would not go beyond 13s. THE TALLOW MARKET.

(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) • LONDON, December 11., At the tallow sales, 996 casks were offered, of which 394 were jsold at an average, decline ,of '6d, Mutton: Fine, 38a Od; medium, 35s 6d. Beef: Fine. 40s; medium, 35s 6d. . The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office dated December. 11;—Tallow: There is a fair, demand. , Current quotations: Good mutton, 38s per cwt; good beef, 37s to 37s fid; good mixed, 375; gut, 32s 6d to 345. Messrs Dalgety; and Co., Ltd. have re-' eeived the following Cablegram from London, dated December 11.— At the last tallow sale 996 casks were offered, and 42 per cent.prices are 6d per cwt lower on an 'average. Quotations are as follows:-—Fine mutton. 395; mixed good, 375; inferior, 345. This will be the last sale for the year.
