CAVERSHAM SCHOOL CHOIR,

The annual picnic of the Cavorshani School. choir was held this year at the Peninsula Motor Service ' Company's picnic 'ground. Company Ray, and a ’more delightful picnic spot would have been hard to find. The full choir of 120 or more children, together with their conductor (Mr A. Cl. Fleming) and pianist (Mr G. T. Palmer), attended for this treat. The weather was perfect, and, the site of the picnic ground being ideal, it is not surprising that the.day was so successful. Races were held throughout the day, and nearly all shared the • prizes, but to the children the pleasure of the day was in rambling through the beautiful native bush or paddling in the water. The games and sports were heartily entered into and enjoyed by all. Thanks are due to the School Committee for providing prizes and prize money, and to the Peninsula Motor Company, in whose hands were the transport arrangements and attention to the comfort of the choir children.
