It was announced at the Australian Labour Party offices that a motion would be submitted at a meeting of the Federal Parliamentary Labour Party at Canberra to-day for the appointment of an Austra Han to the position of Governor-General in succession to Lord Stonehaven. Mem hers' supposing the proposal consider that the Chief Justice, Sir Adrian Knox, should bo invited to accept the position.
