ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
WOOL CLASSER’S DEATH. (Per United Press Association.) HASTINGS. November 13. Vuiham John Kelly, aged 65, a widower, a retired wool classer, was found tins afternoon dead on an enclosed lawn ironting the apartments where he was living. His family is well known in Clive. FOUND DEAD IN BED. (Per Unites Press Association.) at v oven iber 13. airs Edith Sharp, wife of Mr James sharp (till lately in business as an auctioneer) was found dead in bed last night. FATAL MOTOR COLLISION. (Per United Press Association.) i L ‘ inquest concerning the death of Mrs J. D. Smith as the result ot a motor car collision at the intersection of Queen street and Worksop road on October 31, was resumed to-dav before the district coroner. Mr E, G. Eton. The hearing occupied t{ie whole of the day, uo fewer than 15 witnesses giving evidence. The collision occurred in the evening about 8.45 between a large car : . ln “ ca r.- The latter was turning into Worksop road and the former was proceedng along Queen street. Mrs bnnth, who was an occupant of the light car, received serious head injuries and died a few minutes later. The coroner found that Mrs Smith was accidentally killed and that though there had been an error of judgment somewhere, there was no evidence of any gross carelessness on the part of either driver, HAND BLOWN OFF. (Special to Daily Times.) WELLINGTON, November 13. the premature explosion of a charge of gelignite at the Tawa Flat deviation this morning resulted in a tunneller named ■K. Nelmg being badly injured. Nelinc the charge when it exploded and blew off bjg left hand. The injured man was brought to hospital.
