VINCENT SUB-ASSOCIATION TOURNAMENT. ■ The annual tournament under thf auspices of the Vincent Ladies’. Hockey Sub-association was held last Saturday, at Clyde. Thee conditions for .the tournament were excellent and teams were up to time, so that the time-table could be adhered to. ; The standard of play was good throughout, although the form of the Milton team was not so good as that displayed at the Tuapeka tournament. The school grade was well contested and the girls hull teams displayed promise. The Alexandra School registered its fourth win in succession for this grade, carrying off the banner. The ■B, Grade serves the purpose of giving a chance in a competition where they have opponents of their own calibre.- The hockey played in this grade was quite good. The Clyde team in the A Grade performed the hat trick, winning the Tuapeka, Maniototo. and Vincent tournaments, and on. its play in each *ournapient it thoroughly deserved'the honour as,it always gave a good exhibition.
