FRIENDLY SOCIETY.

FORESTERS. C.R. Bro. J, M'Kay, jun., presided over the fortnightly meeting of Court St. Andrew, A.O.F. There was a fair attend-' onto of ofheers and members. During the evening the ritual judges were present, and were well pleased with the performance of all the officers. The proposition of two new members was received. Official visits were received from Courts Pride of Green Island, Littlejohn, Excelsior, Prido of Dunedin. Pride of Leith King Edward’s Pride, and Court Enterprise on the occasion of the commencement of the card tournament. The Social Committee reported having made the final arrangements for the dance to be held on September 2. The woodwards reported a very heavy sick list for the fortnight.
