AUSTRALIAN SEAMEN
MR O’NEILL’S THREAT. CONDUCT TO be REVIEWED. (United Press Association.) (Uy Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, August G. (Received August 6, at 9 p.m.) Mr H. Brennan, general secretary to the Seamen’s Union, commenting on Mr o>'eil!’s action, declared that Mr O’Neill had no authority to threateit trouble. His conduct would be reviewed at a special meeting of the Seamen’s Union to-morrow.
The feud between the two rival seamen’s organisations resulted in the Victorian branch of the seamen’s Union deciding to iiistruet its members not to sail with members of the other union. Mr O’Neill said that men who subscribed their names to the Vustralian Seamen's Union for registration would lose their employment, and if the owners insisted upon employing them, the vessels would be held up;
