UNION STREET EX-PUPILS.
ANNUAL MEETING. The first annual meeting of the Union 'Street School Ex-pupils’ Association was held in the Training College last evening. There was a good attendance, over which the president (Mr John H. Stewart) presided. »- Several apologies for absence were received. - r The president formally moved the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, which was carried.. • V The election' ofdffice-hearers-for the ensuing year resulted as’ 1 follows:—President, Mr H. C. Jones; vice-presidents— Mrs' Lawson, Messrs W. J. Strong, R, M'Skimming, , and Peter Aitken; secretary, Mr' Thomas Jenkins; treasurer, Mr F. Megget; auditor, Mr, R. Duthie; committee—Miss Allan, Miss M'Millan Mrs Forsythe. Mrs Alexander, Mrs Routledge, Messrs Peter Stewart, P, Ireland G. Crosby, F, C. Hay,, J. Carman, and the headmaster (Mr L. F. de Berry) ex officio. ; . ■ ■■ ■; - Mention was made 6f the .deaths of three . old pupils of the school, Messrs James Stewart, George . Mundy, and James Young, those present standing in silence. ' , , •Mr H. C. Jones briefly outlined the preparations in hand for the forthcoming jubilee celebrations.
