MASKED MAN ROBS BANK. EVENTUALLY SHOOTS HIMSELF. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph-Copyright.) SYDNEY, July 29. During Saturday night a masked man entered the Commercial Bank of Australia at Griffith, in the irrigation area, bound and gagged the teller, and escaped with £7OO. During Sunday the police questioned a young man, who suddenly produced a revolver and shot himself close to the heart. He was sent to the hospital, where his dying depositions were taken. NEW ZEALAND POTATOES. LIFTING OF EMBARGO DEMANDED. SYDNEY, July 20. MEN MISSING FROM LAUNCH.
, SYDNEY, July 29. (Received July 29, at 5.5 p.m.) . It is feared that two men lost their lives when a launch in which they were making their way from Kiama to Sydnev struck a rock off Cronulla. MELBOURNE, July 29. „ (Received July 30, at I a.ni.) There was a big fire in Flinders lane, Melbourne, L night, in the warehouse of Collins and Sou, general merchants, whose five-storey warehouse was partially gutted. The damage to the stock is estimated at £40,000, The origin of the fire is not known.
