LIGHT-WEIGHT CONTEST. (Special to Daily Times.) WANGANUI, July 8. In a 10 rounds professional light-weight contest to-night, Tommy Donovan (Waitara) 813 beat Leslie (Auck'and), 8.2. on points. Donovan outclassed his opponent, RUGBY LEAGUE. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND. July 8. A. Falwasser, the Maori and Auckland Rugby representative, who was reported to have signed on with a League football club in England, did not sail from Wellington by the Corinthic. He decided, owing to family reasons, not to go, and is returning to Auckland.
