General Sir Robert Baden-Powell was the guest at a luncheon at the Hyde Park Hotel, at which there was u representative gathering, as an introduction to the forthcoming jamboree of 30,000 Scouts from 42 nations. The Australian and New Zealand Scouts at the jamboree will help to eat 80,000 eggs, 10 tons of bacon, three tons of sugar, ten tons of cheese, three tons of tea, five tons of suet, eight tons of rice, 200 tons of bread, and 15,000 packages of cereal food.—Australian Press Association.
