MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Otago Land Board was continued, there being present Messrs B. S. Galbraith (chairman), C*. J. Imlcr, T. A. Mnnro, G. Livingstone, and J. It. M'Culloch, Air Livingstone intimated his intention to move at next meeting that the resolution of November 14 lust, that section 71, block 11, Tiger Hill Survey District, he offered for sale by public auction, be rescinded, and that the application of John M'Knight to purchase the section he reconsidered. James Craig, jun., protested against the private sale of the land, and stated that he was u prospective purchaser. As a guarantee of good faith lie enclosed his cheque for £IOO, which, in his opinion, is the minimum price that will he realised at a sale by public auction.—Previous resolutions rescinded, and Mr APKnight’s application recommended for approval at £2i>. APPOINTMENT OF ARBITRATOR.

Cameron, and the area of 3954 acres held on miscellaneous license' 2G54 by Thomas M’Gone be grouped as one small grazing run and offered for selection at an annua] rental of £125; that the area of 748 acres held on miscellaneous license 3624 by J, S. Woods, and the area of 4420 acres, hold on miscellaneous license 2057 by J". R, Franklin, be grouped as one small grazing run, and offered for selection at an annual rental of £115; that the area of 595 acres, held on miscellaneous license by Mary Shanks, and the area of 3799 acres, held on miscellaneous license 2050 by R. K. Ireland, be grouped as one small gra’ziim run, ■ and 5 offered for selection at an annual rental of £l2o.—Proposals approved, subject to modification; licensees to be informed that their licenses would not be renewed upon expiry in April and Slay next.
