LEAGUE OF NATIONS UNION.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE

(Per United Press Association.) WANGANUI, June 13.

Delegates numbering 23, representing branches all over the Domonion, attended the annual conference of the New Zealand League of Nations Union, which' was opened in Wanganui to-day. In moving the adoption of the annual report the president (Dr Fisher) said that progress had been disappointingly slow on account of so many people not being prepared to face the present situation. World peace would be a lengthy process.

Speaking at a public meeting in tlie evening, Mr T. Todd (Gisborne) declared that if tlie League were to fail we would go back to the conditions existing before tlie Norman conquest. In an address on “Peace or War. Does It Matter to You?” Dr Fisher said that a world outlook was necessary, not being good Englishmen, good Germans, or Frenchmen, as the case might be, but good citizens of the world.
