. ; rr The semi-cloche, semi-poke honnet models, as seen in the above illustration, as well as chic berets, are making a desperate bid for favour just now, and to all appearances will, with variations, become an established fact for winter chapeaus. The illustrated variety are extremely flattering to most types of faces, and have the effect of giving a youthfulhess to one’s appearance which, with many people, is a desirable asset. Felt and velour felt are the materials used for these models, with panne and other velvets and satin for berets. Berets, on the other hand, cannot he worn by anybddy. One must never attempt the wearing of these French creations if they are over a certain age and weight. Weight is fatal to the successful wearing of these charming concoctions, and one who would be foolish enough to try to do so would soon Jeafn to her cost the folly of such a proceeding.
