- qa ' In connection with guessing the dressed weight of the (at bullock at the Winter Show, the bullock was weighed in the presence of officials of the society at the Dunedin Abattoirs yesterday afternoon and the correct weight was 17001 b. In checking over the guesses it was found tuat the guessing was exceptionally close, and the following persons guessed the correct weight, and will divide the money prize unless they are willing to allow the committee to ballot for His Master’s Voice gramophone supplied bv Messrs M'Cracken and Walls:—Miss A. Driver (Purakanui), Joseph Smith (Stirling) Andrew M'Laren (Milton). J. G Sutherland (Benevolent Institution). S Casev (St. Kilda). C. Kennelly (Tainui) In addition Miss Jacobs guessed within a Db; J. W Owens. W. Horne. W. G Young, and J. Middleton, within a Alb; Dulcie Low, Miss I, Read, J. Gawn J H. Gordon. George Stuart, and Mrs j! Heeuan, within lib. The society is indebted to Mr John Foster, City Abattoirs, for his services in weighing the sheep each day, and for the trouble he took in arranging to weigh the bullock
