LEGAL NO ICE. HARBOUR BOARD. NEW BY-LAWS (Nos. 17 and 18). NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Otago Harbour 1 Board proposes to adopt a new By-law to be known as Bylaw No. 17, 1929, providing a new scale of charges for the' use of the Board’s docks and the cranes and sheerlegs at the dockyard. Port Chalmers, and for the use of floats and the liability therefor, including the liability of agents and a new set of conditions for or in connection with the use of such docks, cranes, and sheerlegs, and making other provisions relating to entry in the dockyard and to the use and misuse of the docks and appliances and to the responsibility for accidents or injuries. AND NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the said Board proposes to adopt a new By-law to be known as By-law No. 18, 1929, fixing new berthage rates for vessels occupying a berth at any of the Board’s wharves, including coal hulks and ferry boats and launches, and also charges where goods are landed for the convenience of the ship and for reshipping and also charges in the case of ships working overtime, and new conditions relating to the oqcupancy of berths at the Board’s wharves and making provision for the liability of agents, amending section 108 of the By-law of the Board passed in 1907 relating to vessels unoaded and ballasted and extending the provisions of the last-mentioned By-law to the Wharves at Port Chalmers except that no; vehicles shall be permitted to go on any of such wharves.
AND NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that each of such proposed new By-laws has been printed and is NOW OPEN TO PUBLIC INSPECTION at the Office of the Board during office hours, and, further, that each such Bv-law will be SUBMITTED FOR ADOPTION at a SPECIAL MEETING of the Board to-be held at the Board’s Office on WEDNESDAY, the 19th day of June, 1929, at 4 o’clock p.m; Dated this 10th day of June, j. 929.
