HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE.
The J. C. Williamson Company gave another fine performance of “ The Patsy ” at His Majesty’s Theatre last night. Miss Irene Homer, as the Patsy, or the Cinderella of the play, has a part of which she makes the very most, and in her emotional and comedy work she had the deep sympathy or the amused approval of her audience. Mr A. S. Byron, as the Patsy’s father, gave a good character study of the breezy travelling salesman who was always ready to take the Patsy’s part or to meet his wife’s hysterical moods with a sturdy stubbornness. Miss Vera Gerald has a sound knowledge of the requirements of the part of the wife, and Miss Eileen Sparks made the most of the rather unthankful character of the Patsy's unlikeable sister. The lovers of the two sisters—Mr Sam Wren and Mr Brandon Peters—had excellent ideas of their parts, and they carried them through with excellent effect. "The Patsy” will be staged again tonight. " .
