They unite in paying tribute to his splendid oration at the Clyde Navigation Trust meeting. V y What struck everyone was the way it Pas built up, its admirable tone and sustained high level, and the, fine peroration, ihe whole thing has entirely removed any reeling there might have been previously that the movement was merely propaganda in favour of New Zealand. What they now see is that it was much broader, and was a thorough- statesmanlike message; especially to Glasgow and Scotland generally—a friendly gesture decidedly in the right direction, and will do a lot of good/’ •
