(Received April 25, at 7 p.m.) A British attempt to bent the world’s non-stop long-distance air record began when a Royal Air Force monoplane with a single 450-horse-power engine left .Crauwell aerodrome for Calcutta. It is piloted by Squadron-Leader Jones-Wil-liams and Flight-Lieutenant N. A. Jenkins. Flight-Lieutenant Jenkins will combine the services of navigator and second pilot. (Received April 25, at 7 p.m.) ■ A, Graf Zeppelin, flying toi,yards the Mediterranean, passed Chalons-sur-Saone, Moulins, Caproca, Lisbon, Seville, Huelva, Tangier, and Gibraltar.
