THE FRANCONIA

BREAKS AWAY IN HARBOUR. LITTLE DAMAGE CAUSED. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SHANGHAI, April 10. (Received April 11, at 0.34 a.ra.) The Franconia, carrying GOO round-the-world tourists, rampaged in the harbour at sailing time this morning, her moorings fouling the propellers. She displaced a buoy, and compelled the hasty transference of two Italian destroyers and a Japanese freighter from the vicinity. The swift ebb tide was responsible. The damage was negligible. The Franconia is expected to sail at tonight’s tide.—Australian Press Association.
