SERGEANT GODDARD
DEMAND ON VISCOUNT EYNG. (United Press association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, February 16. (Received Feb. 16, at 5.5 p.m.) Sergeant Goddard’s solicitor has written to Viscount Byng demanding the return of Goddard’s £12,000. A writ has been served on Viscount Byng at Scotland Yard. In the course of the inquiry into the allegations of graft against Sergeant Goddard, of the London Police Force, a sum of £12,000 deposited in his name was found in a bank safe. The Government decided to confiscate the money. '
