LAND FOR THE POPE

The Italian Government proposes to cede to the Pope a piece of territory on which there are between 10,000 and 15,000 inhabitants over which his Holiness will have nominal sovereignty. A draft of the agreement is now in the Pope's desk.—Australian Press Association.
