DISASTER OFF FRENCH COAST. SEAPLANE DiyES INTO SEA. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NICE, January 9. (Received Jan. 9, at 10 p.m.) A French naval all-metal seaplane, which was on a trial flight, and was piloted by Lieutenant Camperdon and carried four officer passengers, when four miles from the coast, suddenly dived from 300 feet and disappeared. Several boats put off, and recovered the body of Lieutenant Requin. The seaplane is visible, and efforts will be made to raise it to-morrow. —Australian Press Association.
