FORESTRY.
The fortnightly meeting of Court Pride of the Leith, A.0.P., was held .on Wednesday, where there was a good gathering of members present. Official visits were received from-Gourts Pride of Green Island and Queen of Green Island. A considerable amount of business affecting the welfare of the court uas transacted, and a case of distress of one member was favourably considered and assistance - was rendered, P.C.E. Bro. J. Benfell, on behalf of the court, presented to P.C.R. Bro. C. S. Hawes the prize won at the recent competition, and the recipient returned thanks. A donation was granted to the juvenile branch, Court Pride of the Valley, for a Christmas treat for the youthful members at its next meeting. The toast of the visitors was responded to by P.C.R. Bro. B. Chalmers on behalf of the Green Island Courts, Bro. Ivcrsen on behalf of Court Star of the Dunstan, Clyde, and Bro. H. Simpson on behalf of Court Waireka, New Plymouth the second largest branch of the A.0.1V in the Dominion. ' ‘
