PORT CHALMERS HIGH SCHOOL.
DAILY BIBLE CLASSES. The nineteenth annual distribution of prizes in connection with the daily Bible classes of the Port Chalmers District High School took place in the Congregational Church on Friday last. The president of the Ministers’ Association, the Kev. W. H. Roberta, presided over a large gathering of children and parents. .The children sang several hymns and recited a Psalm. The Rev, W. M. Grant, IQ presenting the prizes, stated that there were 92 scholars this year on the roll, and the attendance had been well maintained. The rector, Mr Booth, spoke of the usefulness of the work that was being carried on. Mrs Booth presented the prizes as follows: Primary Department.—Peggy Agnew 1, Isabel Miller 2, Venus Gibbs 3. were also given to Elsie Storm, Margaret Macdonald, Helen Ward, Duncan Wilson, Margaret M'Leod, Bessie Montgomery, Mat. Mathewson, Audrey Parker, Lily Roberts, Jean Gardner. Jessie Waghorn, Harold Roberts, Angus Munro, and Eddie Nelson. Standard I.—Margaret Grant and Graham M'Donald 1, David Miller 2, ouglas Walker 3. George Wilson; a y> Emily Gardiner, Joyce Cashman, Malcolm M’Kenzie, Doris Jelly Wilson Munro, and Elizabeth M'Leod’ also received prizes. Standard ll—Molly Smith 1, Hubert Wilson 2, Peggy Nelson 3. Standard lll.—Susan Irwin . 1, Molly Agnew, Gwen Johnson, and Myrtle Teller (eC iJ 1 r ) £ £“® Wau sb, Lena Wilson, and Gordon WUson also received gifts.
