Over 300 residents of Woy-Woy have signed a petition asking that the death sentence passed on Martin Jacobsen for a capital offence on a girl he reviewed. Public indignation has been aroused over the sentence on-Jacobsen, who was formerly engaged to a girl. She was among the first to sign the petition. Public meetings are being held in the town, and feeling is high. It is said that new evidence would be available if the case wore reopened.
