ITALY INCENSED
FEELING AGAINST FRANCE. A FRESH OUTBURST. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, December 3. The Rome .correspondent of The Times states that Signor Mussolini’s expressed sympathy with the demonstrations against Modugno’s sentence wifi hardly improve Franco-Italian relations. It is true that the demonstrations have practically censed, but the wave of antiFrehch- feeling continues, especially in connection with M. Poincare’s declaration that if France gave up her Syrian mandate “ another country with Imperialistic tendencies would be ready to step into her shoes.” This has produced a fresh outburst. The Tribunal violently attacks M. Poincare, declaring that his words were deliberately uttered in order to 1 stir up anti-Faseist feeling. It accuses M. Poincare of ' being Italy's inveterate enemy.
Meanwhile other cases arc reported of Italians returning French decorations, while Italian wOmen are urged never again to wear French dresses, drink French champagne, or use French scents or beauty preparations.—Times Cable.
