Several members ■of Miss Jimsie C. 'Fraser’s concert party submitted an excellent programme at the school hall at Pine Hill on Thursday evening. The programme opened with a bagpipe selection by Piper George Yardley, followed by a vocal solo by Miss Elsie Gould ; guitar duo, Messrs Norman Scurr and Alf. West; recitations. Miss Maude Driver; solo, “ Angus Mac donald,” Miss Netta Wilkie; Highland reel, Misses Libbie Hayden, Olive and Maisie Scott, and Jill Fox ■ character sketch, ” it May Be Life,” Miss Ngata Buswell; vocal solo, “ Danny Boy,” Miss Cora Buchan; trombone solos, Mr Percy Stanton; Highland fling, Master George Reilly and Miss Patricia Wilson; comet duo, Messrs George Smith and Eric Reader; vocal solo, “The Trumpeter,” Mr Arthur Batchelor : pianoforte solo, “ Minuet,” Miss Edna Dry : double sword dance. Misses Jill Fox and Olive Scott ; vocal solos, M>n H. Bradley; Irish jig, Misses Patricia Wilson, Jill Fox, and Master George Reilly. A feature of the programme was a character sketch of song and story by Mr Norman Scurr, also an orchestral selection by a trio from the Piccadilly Orchestra. Mr Spoor proposed a hearty vote of thanks to Miss Fraser and the performers The concert was held for tlm purpose of providing prizes for the Pine Hill School children The pianoforte accompaniments wore played by Misses Clara Scofield, L.T.C.L., Edna Dry, and Jimsie Fraser, and the bagpipe music was nlaved bv Piper George Yardley.
