MAORI CHILD DROWNED.
(Per United Press Association ) GISBORNE, September 24. A Maori girl, four years old, named Sophia Manuel, wlio.se parents reside at Anauru, 20 miles from Tolago Bay, war. drowned to-day. The child was missing from home in the morning, and search parties at length discovered the body in a lagoon near the home.
