RHEUMATISM.

TO THE EDITOB. Sir, —As a young man I have seen dreadful cases of rheumatism cured. It seems that there is an acid in a raw onion which counteracts the uric acid in clie blood. If taken with the evening meal the onion induces profound and sweet slumber. The anxious sufferer, however, must not turn away from the raw onion should he shed an occasional tear. He must also take plenty of vegetables and fruit—preferably, raw apples and lemons in the morning. He may likewise take white meat. —I am, etc., A. C. Eobertsox. Dunedin, September 23.
