The presentation of a bouquet to Mrs Stanley Baldwin at Glasgow two years ago had a sequel recently when it was reported at a meeting of the” Child Welfare Committee of Glasgow Corporation that the Scottish Board of Health had taken exception to an item in the accounts of £1 for the bouquet. The town clerk was instructed to write, to the Board of Health explaining that the Parks Department had supplied the flowers, and that according to custom £1 was charged for them.
