A CHURCH DISPUTE.

THE DIOCESE OF HAMILTON. (Per United Press Association.) HAMILTON, August 30. About 500 Anglicans last night responded to the invitation of Bishop Cherringtou to discuss matters in dispute in the Cathedra] parish. After the bishop’s statement and a discussion a resolution was carried expressing the wish that St. Peter’s should remain a cathedral, the bishop having recently suggested that they might remove the cathedral to another parish. The parishioners will meet next Wednesday to elect a new chapter, owing to the resignation of the chapter elected at the annual meeting.
